Hi! I'm Sally and I am the owner & photographer of Promise Land Photography.
I LOVE capturing images of all of your important moments and those times you gather your family together for portraits.
I am a CERTIFIED PROFESSIONAL PHOTOGRAPHER (CPP). I earned this prestigious designation from the national certifying board of Professional Photographers of America (PPA), of which I am annually a member in good standing. There are fewer than 2,500 CPP's in the nation, and I am very proud to say that I am one of them. I have also earned the Degrees of Master of Photography (M.Ph.) and the Photographic Craftsman (C.Ph.) from Professional Photographers of America (PPA), as well as the Fellow of Photography (F.Ph.) Degree from Professional Photographers of NC (PPNC). I am the only photographer in Carteret County to have earned all of these degrees and designation.
Specializing in portraits of family, high school & college seniors, children, dogs and pets, business headshots & branding, marriage proposals and engagements, I am are eager to capture the images that are uniquely you.

A little more about me.....
As a portrait photographer, my "why" has always been: Because we are not promised tomorrow. That truth became my reality in March, 2024 when my wonderful husband Lee, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly. My world was rocked and I questioned whether I could continue to photograph. But I quickly remembered that he was my biggest supporter, and was so very proud to tell people about me and the images that I create, and I knew that he would want for me to continue making portraits for others so that they too, could look at them and love the people in them, and all the memories made over the years.
I LOVE dogs! I have TWO beagles! My oldest guy, who passed in early 2026, was a hunting rescue named Pritchard that came to us in 2015 when he was 2 years old. The two remaining are Lady Tucker, who we got as a 7 month old beagle/walker mix in 2019 when we went to a local store to buy a dishwasher, but came home with a puppy instead! She is the sweetest and smartest dog we've ever had. Then in the fall of 2022 we fell in love with and adopted 5 month old Bailey, and she keeps me entertained and full of doggy loves.
